Working with his two brothers to build the business, their small shop set out to serve their friends and neighbors with flowers for every occasion.
I grew up in a tight-knit neighborhood where everybody knows everybody, and I think people liked the idea of these three young brothers from the neighborhood working their tails off to make something of ourselves.
That was more than 30 years and several flower shops ago and I'm still at it.
