Illinois State Florists Association
Education is at the core of the Illinois State Florists Association's mission and we have many opportunities for participating in educational programs throughout the state. The Illinois Certified Professional Florist (ICPF) program is dedicated to establishing and maintaining a basic level of proficiency in the floral industry for the state of Illinois.

ISFA is made up of hundreds of florists within Illinois and surrounding states. Our mission is to educate our members through bootcamps, ICPF certification program, Annual Floral Design Show, and much more. By educating our members through these methods we will help you create a stronger floral industry.
Services
We'll host our annual meeting and a virtual florist gathering in order to allow an opportunity for us to all connect and commiserate.
Then spend time that afternoon, or at your own leisure, taking in design and business presentations from a variety of great presenters.

This special virtual show will be available to register for free for our active 2021 ISFA members!
Non-members will be able to register as well for an additional fee.
Design presentations will be pre-recorded and available that afternoon for your viewing.

ISFA Annual Floral Design Show takes place every March and is a three day event packed with floral design presentations, hands-on workshops, floral competitions, vendor market place and floral networking.
The ISFA Bootcamps 2020 are designed focused with individualized attention given to each student while fostering floral education within a floral community.
The classes are designed to be taken as a series, starting with the first class in April.
Each class is two-8 hour days filled with intensive learning, which combines: lecture, demonstrations, hands-on projects and critiquing of designs.
Registration includes: lunch, all fresh materials and supplies for projects.
Must bring your own tools.
Start off the 2020 Bootcamps by creating floral expressions that will boost your creativity.
The Illinois Certified Professional Florist (ICPF) program is dedicated to establishing and maintaining a basic level of proficiency in the floral industry for the state of Illinois.
A series of design and management review evaluations will be offered on a regular basis.
These review evaluations will be used to assess designated competency areas, verifying skills and knowledge needed for basic, entry level floristry*.
So many people think being a florist is just getting to play with pretty flowers.
The ICPF certification program consists of a series of thirteen lecture, hands-on, and on-line classes.
The fifty plus hours of instruction cover the basic areas of professional floristry.
Subjects covered include Basic Design Techniques, Daily Business Procedures, Employee Relations, Sympathy Design Basics, and Principles & Elements of Design.
The course is for the beginning florist or a more experienced designer looking to improve their skills.
Students may choose to take a single class, several classes or the whole series.
